Cole's

I don’t remember much about my experience at Cole’s because it was my first time hanging out with Chad, and he’s hot as hell. I do, however, remember that it was my first time in downtown Los Angeles and I made the mistake of parking in Skid Row. I was wearing a very short skirt and very high heels, and as a result, made very many friends.

De Laveaga Golf Lodge (AKA The 19th Hole)
401 Upper Park Rd
Santa Cruz, CA 95065
I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that the main reason I love the 19th Hole is the view of the old, rich men on the golf course. Other selling features: outside deck seating (heaven on a sunny day) and delicious breakfasts and lunches, specifically the “Golfer’s Special”. The Golfer’s Special is a classic breakfast spread of eggs, bacon, hash browns, etc., plus your choice of a Bloody Mary, Screwdriver, or Greyhound. This particular meal was vital for Sunday hangover recovery in college.

This place can get sleazy at night. When I say sleazy, I mean sweaty, fat Mexican sleazy. It’s alright for day-drinking, but really, I only come here when my Santa Cruz friends drag me here.

Ventura County
Eric Ericsson's Fish Co.
668 Harbor Blvd
Ventura, CA 93001
If I lived in Ventura, I’d stop by for Happy Hour on the outdoor patio ALL THE TIME. It is so nice to enjoy a meal and ocean view without stressing about crowds and parking difficulties like the beach towns in Los Angeles. The specialty cocktails are pretty incredible here; I stuck with a guava Mojito concoction. Our food took a little long, so the waitress ordered us another round of drinks on the house. Good thing I was walking because those drinks are stiff and I couldn't possibly resist her hospitality.

Monk's Bar and Grill
220 Broadway
Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965
Lunch at Monk's Bar & Grill: I throw my hands in the air, shrug my shoulders and say, "Eh, it's a sports bar". Admittedly, the burger was pretty damn good and it was the first time I tried deep fried pickles. If you can get over the blisters on the roof of your mouth from eating them, they're delicious. Also, they had Leinenkugal on tap, which is always fun to see. It's new and clean, but not my scene.
